TIME TO PLAN A PARTY!

I've currently been completely consumed with planning my son's first birthday party.  At first I swore it would just be "a little party at home" and it still is, but I've been a little tempted to vamp it up a bit with some fun and fabulous décor!  I wanted to share some of the fun items I've found for the party, check back in a month for photo's of how everything came together!

First thing I needed for the party was a cake stand.  I imagined having this wonderfully decorated cake and it sitting on a boring plate.  So the first thing I bought was this charming blue stand from

BHLDN

.  While shopping on their site I also purchased these cute

wooden utensils

, I love the colorful zig-zag pattern!

I found these great plates and napkins that we'll use for the cake, love the animal theme!  You can find them at

Pippi & Scout

.

I decided on these pretty turquoise plates to serve lunch on.  They are made by Martha Stewart Celebrations and can be found

here

.  The cups I purchased from

The TomKat Studio

, they have an endless supply of thoughtfully designed party goods worth checking out.

I love the gingham pattern on these

napkins

!  They'll work great with my plates, cups and utensils!

We'll be having a few older kids at the party and I found these great BPA free bottles to use, they even come with lids!  They are also made by

The TomKat Studio

and can be found

here

.

I've been seeing these beautiful images floating around of big round balloons and now is the time I get to use them!  I bought a few in my color scheme to float around my backyard.  I purchased mine through

Balloon Fast

!

I fell in love with the handmade quality of this garland made by

Bottz Studio's

.  I thought it would be fun strung upon my persimmon tree.

I found these great ombre pom pom's that I'm excited to hang from our new trellis!  This is the palette I chose, you can find them and other great colors at

Hand Dyed Poms by TenaJae

.

  This birthday banner is from

Pippi & Scout

, I fell in love with so many things this company had to offer.

These

retro popcorn bags

will be filled with kettle corn!

Even the cake topper has a retro vibe!

The

cowboy

and

pirate

hats were a must have!  Most of the kids coming aren't babies so hopefully they will enjoy.

I also bought these

goodie bags

that were just too cute to pass up!  I love that they can be re-used to store toys, etc.

I found these great

stickers

that I thought would be fun on some of the clear plastic cups I purchased!

I must have built a thousand forts as a kid and I would have LOVED to have one of these offered by

Tip Top Teepee Shop

!  We bought Van one for his birthday, his will be yellow and white with his name in navy blue above the opening.
