FALL FESTIVITIES
Being from the east coast my absolute favorite time of year is fall! I love living in sunny California and I really don't miss the snowy winters, but I do miss seeing all the beautiful fall foliage! Despite the fact it's often quite warm during the September & October months in Los Angeles, somewhere around late October you can still sense the seasons changing. The crisp cool sunrise and sunsets remind me that autumn is here and with it all my favorite fall festivities!

Loving all the pumpkins 💗
So many pumpkins to choose from...
After lunch and activities we selected our pumpkins and headed home for some carving and cooking!
Pumpkin fun
I found this at Trader Joe's last week and I've been waiting for the weekend to try it out. I'm thinking brown butter, sage and some Parmesan Reggiano for the kids to enjoy.
After we scooped and carved out pumpkins I quickly roasted and seasoned the seeds. Love using these for salads and snacking!
Arugula, fennel bulb, clementines in a herb yogurt lemon dressing, garnished with the pumpkin seeds we roasted today.
Meatballs and pasta, fruit and veggies is a dish often created for our busy families. Tonight I wanted a version us adults can enjoy as well. Here is the pumpkin pasta I found at Trader Joe's cooked in brown butter, sage and Parmesean Reggiano. Delish!
From many years of IKEA trips what have I learned? I LOVE Swedish meatballs. I've always wanted to make a version at home and tonight was the perfect opportunity. These meatballs were simple to make and the gravy is rich and perfect to accompany a cool fall evening.
Ending the evening with chocolate pumpkins and a happy family. Looking forward to many more activities.
